Full Journal pdf1993-04-16 Senate Journal Page 1445 SB 174 Senator Donley moved that CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 174(L&C) be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 2. Without objection, the bill was returned to second reading. Senator Donley offered Amendment No. 2 : Page 1, line 12: Delete "and" Page 2, line 1: After "customers": Insert ", and whose written contract with owners of taxicab vehicles, taxicab permits, or radio dispatch services specifically provides that the contract places no restrictions on hours worked by the individual or on areas in which the individual may work except to comply with local ordinances" Page 2, line 14: After "AS 23.10.055(13)": Insert ", unless the hours worked by the individual or the areas in which the individual may work are restricted except to comply with local ordinances" Senator Donley moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 2. Senator Rieger objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objections, Amendment No. 2 was adopted. CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 174(L&C) am was automatically in third reading. The question being: "Shall CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 174(L&C) am "An Act exempting certain taxicab operators from coverage under the Alaska Wage and Hour Act, the Alaska Employment Security Act, and the Alaska Workers' Compensation Act; and providing for an effective date" pass the Senate?"
