Keep us mindful of how fragile life is and of our responsibilities to assist those in need. Open our hearts and minds so that we might see the needs of those we represent and lead us in decisions that will do the most good for the most people, while resulting in the least harm to all living things at all times. Lead us and guide us in the ways that will lead to abundant life, peace with justice, and mercy for everyone. And at the end of this day, let us look back on what we have accomplished and entrust our work to You, so that all things may work together towards the goodness of life as You have created it and intend for it to be, today and forever. Amen." 1 1994-01-24 House Journal Page 2134 The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Vezey.
