Representatives Hoffman and Navarre had been previously excused from a call of the House today. Representative Nicholia was excused due to illness. Representatives Davidson, Hanley and Mulder were absent. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Dr. Palmer Gedde of the Resurrection Lutheran Church. Representative Ulmer moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it appears below: "Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we Your servants give You thanks for all Your goodness and loving kindness to us and to all whom You have made. We bless You for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of life. We pray, give us an awareness of Your mercies that shows itself, not only by our lips, but by our lives as we give ourselves up to You in holiness and righteousness all our days.
