Representative Menard had been previously excused from a call of the House today. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Kermit Wilson of the First Church of God. Representative Bunde moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it appears below: "Heavenly Father, 'We, lift up our eyes to the hills, where does our help come from? Our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.' (Psalm 121) Lord, as we face another week, we seek Your help, Your strength, and encouragement. We may face times of disagreement, times of confusion and disappointment. The legislature does not want to create a situation where someone subject to this act feels that, once tested, they will not be tested again until the next annual cycle. In addition, the Committee has special concerns that the regulations promulgated to implement HB 2 should provide for careful attention to the handling of samples and other testing procedures to preclude the possibility of someone becoming falsely incriminated in the use of drugs or alcohol."
