SCR 9 TWENTY-SEVENTH ANNUAL GIRLS STATE
CHAIRMAN SHARP calls the Senate State Affairs Committee to order at
3:35 p.m. and brings up SCR 9 as the first order of business before
the committee.
Number 012
SENATOR DONLEY makes a motion to discharge SCR 9 from the Senate
State Affairs Committee with individual recommendations.
CHAIRMAN SHARP, hearing no objection, orders SCR 9 released from
committee with individual recommendations.

SCR 10 TWENTY-NINTH ANNUAL BOYS' STATE
SENATOR SHARP brings up SCR 10 as the next order of business before
the Senate State Affairs Committee.
SENATOR LEMAN comments he feels fright over the fact that he
attended the First Annual Boys' State, and SCR 10 is recognizing
the Twenty-Ninth Annual Boys' State. He asks if there is anything
that can be done to shrink that number.
SENATOR DONLEY recalls Senator Leman commenting on this subject in
previous years.
SENATOR DUNCAN remembers Senator Phillips commenting on attending
Boys' State also. Every time Senator Duncan hears Senator Leman
and Senator Phillips talk about attending Boys' State, he wants to
vote against the resolution.
SENATOR LEMAN reminds Senator Duncan that Senator Ellis also
attended Boys' State.
SENATOR DUNCAN adds that when Senator Ellis announces he attended
Boys' State, he has to vote for the resolution.

SENATOR LEMAN makes a motion to discharge SCR 10 from the Senate
State Affairs Committee with individual recommendations.

CHAIRMAN SHARP, hearing no objection, orders SCR 10 released from
committee with individual recommendations.
CHAIRMAN SHARP announces that SB 110 and HB 4 will be heard at the
next committee meeting.
