CHAIRMAN MILLER called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order
at 12:20 p.m.
CHAIRMAN MILLER brought SB 247 (USE OF FISH & GAME FUND/COMM'R'S
POWERS) before the committee as the first order of business and
directed attention to a proposed committee substitute.
TERRY OTNESS, staff to Senator Taylor who is prime sponsor of SB
247, informed the committee that the only change in the committee
substitute is on page 2, lines 14 and 15, which provides to the
department the ability to administer the funds for payment of
license vendor compensation. He added it will allow continuation
of a process currently being done.
SENATOR PEARCE moved CSSB 247(RLS) be adopted. Hearing no
objection, the motion carried.
SENATOR PEARCE moved and asked unanimous consent SB 247 be approved
for calendaring. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered.
CHAIRMAN MILLER brought SB 262 (MANAGEMENT OF FISH/GAME POPULATION
& AREA) before the committee. Hearing no discussion, he asked for
the pleasure of the committee.
SENATOR PEARCE moved and asked unanimous consent SB 262 be approved
for calendaring. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered.
CHAIRMAN MILLER brought CSHB 212(FIN) (TIMBER MANAGEMENT & STATE
LAND CLASSIF.) before the committee. Hearing no discussion, he
asked for the pleasure of the committee.
