CHAIRMAN MILLER called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order
at 11:04 p.m.
CHAIRMAN MILLER brought SR 4 (REINDEER INDUSTRY ACT OF 1937) before
the committee. Hearing no discussion, he asked for the pleasure of
the committee.
SENATOR PEARCE moved and asked unanimous consent that SR 4 be
approved for calendaring. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered.
CHAIRMAN MILLER brought CSHB 20(FIN) am (CONVEY TIDE/SUBMERGED LAND
TO MUNICIPALITY) before the committee. Hearing no discussion, he
asked for the pleasure of the committee.
SENATOR SHARP moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 20(FIN)
am be approved for calendaring. Hearing no objection, it was so
ordered.

committee. Hearing no discussion, he asked for the pleasure of the

SENATOR SHARP moved and asked unanimous consent that HB 287 be
approved for calendaring. Hearing no objection, it was so ordered.
SENATOR PEARCE moved that the committee rescind it previous action
in approving CSHB 233(FIN) am for calendaring. She stated the
Senate Finance Committee changed the Board of Marine Pilots date to
June 30, 1996, which does not conform with SB 130 (MARINE PILOTS),
which is on the House calendar on May 9. Hearing no objection,
CHAIRMAN MILLER stated the committee had rescinded its previous
action.
CHAIRMAN MILLER stated the committee would stand in recess until
the following morning so that further research could be done on the
changing of dates in the Finance SCS.
The meeting was recessed at 11:12 p.m.
CHAIRMAN MILLER called the meeting back to order at 3:33 p.m. on
May 9. In attendance were Chairman Miller, Senator Duncan and
Senator Sharp. He stated the only order of the business was CSHB
233(FIN) am. Hearing no discussion, he asked for the pleasure of
the committee.
SENATOR SHARP moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 233(FIN)
am be approved for calendaring. Hearing no objection, it was so
ordered.
There being no further business to come before the committee, the
meeting was adjourned at 3:34 p.m.
