  CHAIRMAN MILLER  called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order          
 at 12:30 p.m., noting there was only one item on the committee                
 calendar.                                                                     
                                                                               
 SENATOR SHARP moved and asked unanimous consent that  SJR 7                   
 (OPPOSING FEDERAL MANDATES ON STATES) be passed out of committee              
 with individual recommendations.  Hearing no objection, it was so             
 ordered.                                                                      
 There being no further business to come before the committee, the             
 meeting was adjourned at 12:31 p.m.
