  CALL TO ORDER                                                                
                                                                               
  Senator  Steve  Frank,  Chairman,  convened the  meeting  at                 
  approximately 3:13 p.m.

  Division; Nancy Slagle, Director of Budget Review, Office of                 
  Management and Budget; Bob Baratko, Director, Administrative                 
  Services Division, Dept. of Revenue; Dwight Perkins, Special                 
  Assistant,  Dept.   of  Labor;  fiscal  analysts   from  the                 
  Legislative Finance Division; and aides to committee members                 
  and other members of the legislature.

  HB 412 -  APPROPRIATIONS: OPERATING BUDGET                                   
                                                                               
                                                                               
  HB 413 -  APPROPRIATIONS FOR MENTAL HEALTH                                   
                                                                               
            Category I items were ADOPTED.                                     
                                                                               
            Category II items were  ADOPTED with the exception                 
            of                                                                 
                 intent which will  be dealt  with at a  later                 
  time.                                                                        
                                                                               
            Data Processing Chargeback  funding was held  OPEN                 
  to be                                                                        
                 dealt  with  at  closure   of  the  Dept.  of                 
                                                                               
                                                                               
  Administration                                                               
                 budget.                                                       
                                                                               
            Dept.  of  Revenue -  Representative  Hanley noted                 
            that items for committee consideration consist  of                 
            data processing chargebacks  which would be funded                 
            at closure of the Dept. of Administration budget.                  
                                                                               
            Dept.   of  Military   and   Veterans  Affairs   -                 
            Representative  Hanley  MOVED  and  the  committee                 
            ADOPTED the following new Senate numbers:                          
                                                                               
                 Disaster Planning             -20.0 GF Match                  
                 Commissioner's Office         -27.0 GF                        
                 Retirement Benefits        -1,150.0 GF                        
                                                                               
            Dept. of  Labor - Representative Hanley  MOVED and                 
            the  committee  ADOPTED  Senate numbers  with  the                 
            exception of data processing chargebacks.
