The House Special Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs was
called to order by Co-Chairman Pete Kott at 5:00 p.m. Members
present at the call to order were Representatives Kott, Mulder,
Foster, and Phillips. Members absent were Representatives Ivan,
Davies, and Willis.
HL&C - 02/22/95
HB 164 - ESTABLISH PEARL HARBOR DAY
CO-CHAIRMAN PETE KOTT said a quorum was present. He stated that
a resolution dealing with Pearl Harbor Day was passed from
committee a few weeks ago, and is currently in the Senate. He
continued that Representative Richard Foster had made a motion to
embed this same concept into a bill that would ask that the
Governor proclaim December 7th, as a commemorative day.

REPRESENTATIVE RICHARD FOSTER pointed out that this topic had
been discussed in detail. He made a motion to move HB 164 out of
the House Labor and Commerce Committee.
CO-CHAIRMAN KOTT concurred that they had discussed the bill in
detail. He asked if there was an objection to move HB 164 from
committee, with accompanying fiscal notes. Hearing none, HB 164
was moved from committee.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the House Special
Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs, CO-CHAIRMAN Kott
adjourned the meeting at 5:20 p.m.
