Representatives Foster and Sumner had been excused from a call of the House today. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Kirk Thorsteinson of the Alaska National Guard. Representative Vance moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Hello on this happy spring morning! And to those observing Ridvan or Passover, may your festivities, observances, and rituals be blessed! Now this (invocation) looks like a job for me, so everybody, just follow me in prayer. Ensign for the peoples, I invite your presence with us on Earth Day, a day all Alaskans can unite together to care for The Last Frontier's environment so its citizens and visitors can enjoy its countless majesties and continue to say, "they're real and they're spectacular."
