Full Journal pdf2024-01-30 House Journal Page 1391 HOUSE JOURNAL ALASKA STATE LEGISLATURE THIRTY-THIRD LEGISLATURE SECOND SESSION Juneau, Alaska Tuesday January 30, 2024 Fifteenth Day Pursuant to adjournment the House was called to order by Speaker Tilton at 6:47 p.m. JOINT SESSION IN THE HOUSE In accordance with Uniform Rule 51, Speaker Tilton turned the gavel over to President Stevens who called the joint session to order at 6:53 p.m. The purpose of the joint session was to hear the State of the State address by the Honorable Mike Dunleavy, Governor of Alaska. Senator Giessel moved and asked unanimous consent that the roll call of the Senate be waived and all members be shown as present. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Saddler moved and asked unanimous consent that the roll call of the House be waived and all members be shown as present. There being no objection, it was so ordered. President Stevens appointed Representative Allard and Senator Bjorkman to escort the Governor to the joint session. The Senate Sergeant-at-Arms announced the Governor's entrance into the House Chamber. Governor Dunleavy was escorted to the rostrum and welcomed by President Stevens. 2024-01-30 House Journal Page 1392 Governor Dunleavy delivered his address, and it is published in Senate and House Joint Journal Supplement No. 11. Governor Dunleavy received a standing ovation. Senator Giessel moved and asked unanimous consent that the joint session adjourn. There being no objection, President Stevens adjourned the joint session at 7:48 p.m. The Speaker ordered the House at ease to allow members of the Senate to leave the Chamber. IN THE HOUSE The Speaker called the House back to order at 7:50 p.m. UNFINISHED BUSINESS A message dated January 30 was received stating the Senate accepted the invitation to meet in joint session in the House Chamber at 7:00 p.m., January 30 to hear the rescheduled State of the State address. HB 115 Representatives Wright and Stapp added as cosponsors to: HOUSE BILL NO. 115 "An Act relating to the practice of naturopathy; establishing the Naturopathy Advisory Board; relating to the licensure of naturopaths; relating to disciplinary sanctions for naturopaths; relating to the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development; and providing for an effective date." HB 149 Representatives Wright and Stapp added as cosponsors to: HOUSE BILL NO. 149 "An Act relating to the licensure of nursing professionals; relating to a multistate nurse licensure compact; and providing for an effective date." 2024-01-30 House Journal Page 1393 ANNOUNCEMENTS House committee schedules are published under separate cover. ADJOURNMENT Representative Saddler moved and asked unanimous consent that the House adjourn until 11:00 a.m., January 31.
