With deepest respect for the religious beliefs of each person here, I invite you to a time of reflection, silence, and prayer: Gracious Lord of all wondrous and diverse creation, Thank you for making each person here unique and special. Give us the courage to personally claim and then live out our best self. As we listen to our colleagues with varying perspectives, enlarge our world. Save us from the temptation to put another down. Help us to disagree without being disagreeable. Empower this House to lead all Alaskans as together we claim a beautiful heritage and a promising future. Help us to serve others, especially the young and those on the margins of society. This I pray in the name of the one who came, not to be served but to serve. Amen. 2023-02-06 House Journal Page 0142 The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Fields.
