Senator Costello was absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Major Gina Halverson, The Salvation Army. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Dear Lord, we thank you for our freedom, our glorious State of Alaska and all that we have in the beautiful life we are able to live in Alaska. We are blessed with wonderful leaders who have the courage and vision to help Alaska become the best it can be for those who live in our beautiful state. We thank you for our community, abundance of natural resources, and our nation. Lord, continue to give our governmental leaders wisdom and courage to address concerns that impact our nation, state and communities. We are thankful for these leaders who take on the heavy burden of leading our beautiful state forward into the future. I pray for their health, their families and the continued best interest of the people they have been called to serve. Please provide strength, wisdom, and guidance in their decisions and may they always put their constituents first in the decisions they make as they maintain their role in the Alaskan government.
