Senators Olson, Shower were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Bishop. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Dear Heavenly Father, We ask that you give us guidance, grace, wisdom, and compassion as we move through today, now and forever. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen. Senator Costello led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. Certification Senator Hughes moved and asked unanimous consent the journals for the seventh through twenty-seventh legislative days of the first special session, Senate Journal Supplement No. 5, and House and Senate Joint Journal Supplement No. 5 be approved as certified by the Secretary. Messages from the Governor HB 115 Message was read stating the Governor signed the following bill on June 15 and transmitted the engrossed and enrolled copies to the Lieutenant Governor’s Office for permanent filing: SENATE CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 115(RES) "An Act relating to aquatic farming and hatchery site leases; and requiring the director of the division of lands to provide the legislature with an annual report relating to aquatic farming and hatchery site leases." Senator Hughes moved and asked unanimous consent Senator Shower be excused from a call of the Senate today. Without objection, Senator Shower was excused. Senator Hughes moved the Senate adopt the Conference Committee Report. Objections were heard. Senator Begich rose to a point of order, stating it is not relevant to refer to actions in the other body. President Micciche cautioned members to proceed in order. Unfinished Business Senator Begich moved and asked unanimous consent Senator Olson be excused from a call of the Senate from June 16 through June 30. Without objection, Senator Olson was excused. Senator Begich moved and asked unanimous consent to be excused from a call of the Senate from August 16 through August 19. Without objection, Senator Kiehl was excused. Senator Revak moved and asked unanimous consent to be excused from a call of the Senate from June 17 through July 12. Without objection, Senator Revak was excused.
