Senators Begich, Bishop, Myers, Reinbold, von Imhof were excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Costello, Olson, Shower were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Kiehl. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Without objection, Senator Costello was excused. Senator Kawasaki, Acting Minority Leader, moved and asked unanimous consent Senator Olson be excused from a call of the Senate today. Without objection, Senator Olson was excused. Certification Senator Hughes moved and asked unanimous consent the journals for the thirty-seventh and thirty-eighth legislative days be approved as certified by the Secretary. Without objection, it was so ordered. Consideration of the Calendar Second Reading of Senate Bills SB 24 SENATE BILL NO. 24 "An Act authorizing virtual meetings of shareholders of a corporation; and authorizing virtual meetings of members of a nonprofit corporation" was read the second time. Senator Holland, Vice Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Labor and Commerce Committee Substitute offered on page 289. Without objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 24(L&C) "An Act relating to holding corporate meetings by remote communication; allowing voting by remote communication at corporate meetings; making shareholder lists available electronically; 2021-02-26 Senate Journal Page 0331 relating to for-profit and nonprofit corporations; relating to business and industrial development corporations; relating to Native corporations; relating to the Alaska Banking Code; and providing for an effective date" was adopted.
