Representative Zulkosky had been excused from a call of the House today. Representative Tarr was absent and her presence was noted later. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Nancy Campbell of White Fields Church. Representative Thompson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. With respect for the religious beliefs of each person here, I offer this prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I invite you here to guide the House today and assist them as they consider this day’s agenda. Give them strategy as they reason together seeking solutions to move our state forward. Light their path so they can see clearly and not be distracted by worrisome thoughts. I pray that you, O Lord, lift any cares they may have off their shoulders. Grant them good health as they enter the final days of this session. 2022-04-27 House Journal Page 2680 I pray for peace of mind and rest so they will be able to tackle the tasks set before them in a timely manner. Your word says in Matthew 11:28-30: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." I thank you, Lord, that you have heard my prayer for this House; that you are here with them; waiting to guide them as they look to you for divine wisdom. Bless them and their families now and keep them safe, I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Hannan. * * * * * Representative Rasmussen introduced her son Grayson Rasmussen, Guest Page, from Anchorage.
