With respect of all beliefs, I offer the following scripture followed by prayer: 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Father God, help us with love. Your kind of love. Help us demonstrate the love spelled out in your word of patience, kindness, and forgiveness towards one another so that we may protect one another, forgive one another, and trust one another. 2021-08-31 House Journal Page 1466 Provide us the spirit of hope that will allow us to persevere as we work through solutions for our great state.
