With the deepest respect for all Alaskans, I offer the following prayer: 2021-05-26 House Journal Page 1258 Father, We come to you in the name of Jesus and ask your blessings upon the state of Alaska, its people, and the leaders in this room whom you have granted authority to govern and manage with righteousness. Proverbs chapter 3 says you bless those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, For she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed. We pray your path of peace and blessings on our legislative meetings and the conference committee as they proceed to gain understanding in the budget to find agreement. May your incredible wisdom and prudence fill their hearts and minds as you reveal the path forward for Alaska. Lord, we come to you in thanksgiving and ask that you continue to be with our families during this time, as we strive to get our work done to bring honor and glory to you. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Claman.
