Representative Carpenter was absent. Representative Kreiss-Tomkins was absent, and his presence was noted later. Representative Tuck moved and asked unanimous consent that Representative Tilton be excused from the call of the House today. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Representative McCarty. Representative Thompson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. MESSAGES FROM THE GOVERNOR A message dated March 11 was read stating the Governor has withdrawn from consideration Executive Order 119 relating to the reorganization of the Department of Health & Social Services. The executive order had been referred to the Health & Social Services and Finance Committees (page 177). **The presence of Representative Kreiss-Tomkins was noted. A letter dated March 11 was read stating that on February 17 in accordance with Article III, Sections 26 and 27 of the Alaska Constitution and Alaska Statue 39.05.080, the Governor submitted a list of appointees for confirmation. MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE A message dated March 10 was read stating the Senate passed the following, and it is transmitted for consideration: FIRST READING AND REFERENCE OF SENATE BILLS SB 22 SENATE BILL NO. 22 by Senator Revak, entitled: "An Act repealing the termination date for the intensive management hunting license surcharge." was read the first time and referred to the Resources and Finance Committees.
