Senators Costello, Reinbold, Shower were absent. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent Senators Costello, Reinbold, Shower be excused from a call of the Senate today through March 21. Without objection, Senators Costello, Reinbold, Shower were excused. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Coghill. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. God of all creation, I pray this morning for your help in this time of turmoil caused by this virus and our reactions. We lift up those who have been infected and those impacted and ask for your help in this time of need as we do our best to help our people with funding and policy priorities. We look to you for clarity of mind, and your peace and wisdom to serve our state well. Thank you for your guidance. Certification Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent the journals for the fifty-third through fifty-fifth legislative days, Senate Journal Supplement No. 9 and Senate and House Joint Journal Supplement No. 16 be approved as certified by the Secretary. Without objection, it was so ordered. Messages from the Governor Letter dated March 13 was read stating on February 4 in accordance with Article III, Sections 26 and 27, of the Alaska Constitution and Alaska Statute 39.05.080, I submitted a list of appointees for confirmation. The following appointee has withdrawn his name from consideration, effective immediately: State Medical Board Samuel Abbate Communications Report from the Commissioner of the Department of Administration dated March 13 was received stating the monetary terms for the collective bargaining agreement reached with the Public Employees Local 71 representing the Labor Trades and Crafts Unit in accordance with AS 23.40.215.
