Senator Stedman was excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Costello, Kawasaki were absent. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent Senator Costello be excused from a call of the Senate today through March 7. Without objection, Senator Costello was excused. Senator Begich moved and asked unanimous consent Senator Kawasaki be excused from a call of the Senate today. Without objection, Senator Kawasaki was excused. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Coghill. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Almighty God, Heavenly Father, as we come before you we are reminded of our privilege in serving this great land. We get to be in your place for our people to do the best we can for this state and we want to express our gratitude for doing that. Coming in from a restful weekend or visiting with family and friends, we are grateful for them and the support that we have. Senator Bishop, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Labor and Commerce Committee Substitute offered on page 1863. Senator Begich objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 81(L&C) was adopted. President Giessel stated CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 81(L&C) will advance to third reading on the March 4 calendar. Third Reading of Senate Bills SB 115 CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 115(FIN) was read the third time. The question being: "Shall CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 115(FIN) "An Act relating to vehicle registration fees; relating to the motor fuel tax; and providing for an effective date" pass the Senate?"
