Full Journal pdf2019-06-06 Senate Journal Page 1289 SENATE JOURNAL ALASKA STATE LEGISLATURE THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE FIRST SPECIAL SESSION Juneau, Alaska Thursday June 6, 2019 Twenty-second Day Pursuant to adjournment the Senate was called to order by President Giessel at 11:00 a.m. The roll showed fifteen members present. Senators Begich, Shower were excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Gray-Jackson, von Imhof, Wielechowski were absent. SB 1002 Senator Coghill moved the Senate rescind its previous action in failing SENATE BILL NO. 1002 am(fld S) "An Act making a special appropriation for the payment of permanent fund dividends; and providing for an effective date." Objections were heard. Senator Costello moved to table the motion to rescind. Objections were heard. Senator Costello rose to a point of order stating the motion to table is not debatable. The question being: "Shall the motion to rescind be tabled?” The roll was taken with the following result: SB 1002 am(fld S) Table Motion to Rescind? YEAS: 7 NAYS: 8 EXCUSED: 2 ABSENT: 3 2019-06-06 Senate Journal Page 1290 Yeas: Costello, Hughes, Kawasaki, Micciche, Reinbold, Wilson, Hoffman Nays: Birch, Coghill, Kiehl, Olson, Stedman, Stevens, Giessel, Bishop Excused: Shower, Begich Absent: Gray-Jackson, von Imhof, Wielechowski Bishop changed from "YEA" to "NAY". Hoffman changed from "NAY" to "YEA" and so, the motion failed. Senator Hughes called the Senate. Announcements Rule 23(d) of the Alaska State Legislature Uniform Rules is currently in effect. Announcements are at the end of the journal. Adjournment Senator Coghill rose to a point of order citing Uniform Rule 16(d), and moved the Senate adjourn. The question being: "Shall the Senate Adjourn?" The roll was taken with the following result: Shall the Senate Adjourn?
