Senators Begich, Hoffman were excused from a call of the Senate. Senator Reinbold was absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Coghill. Senator Bishop moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Heavenly Father, I pray today for your help in getting to an agreement within the legislature to answer the pressing questions put before us this special session. Help us as a people, who have this wonderful state to live in, figure out some of the priorities for a healthy and sound economy. When I ponder your Word, I know that you desire us to trust You, and walk in truth and justice with mercy. I ask that, You, O my God, guide us in your way here in the legislature and throughout our communities. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ my Savior. Amen.
