Senator Hoffman was excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, The Reverend Michael Grubbs, Ordained Deacon, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Eternal God, fountain of all truth and wisdom, we are grateful for the occupants of our Senate seats. Their dedication to the work of the Senate sets a high standard of excellence. For each mind and heart that fills the presence of this room, we give gratitude for their dedication to what they believe is right action for Alaska and its people. May each Senator here be blessed with creativity, inspiration, innovation and an abundance of cooperative spirit. We know you, Eternal God, transcend all our efforts and understanding.
