With the deepest respect for the spiritual beliefs of all Alaskans, I offer the following prayer: Dear Lord, We come to you this morning in prayer for our world and for healing for those with the Coronavirus. We ask for fast delivery of medical supplies and the resources needed for treatment in so many places. We give thanks for the researchers, for the medical providers, who work long hours at great personal risk, including those cleaning our community work places to keep us safe. We ask for protection and 2020-03-24 House Journal Page 2048 support for them and their families. Please help each of us to recognize how we can do our part to end this epidemic and then take action to do so. Give us strength for the work ahead this week. Many decisions need to be made for the good of every Alaskan. We pray for wisdom and guidance and a spirit of purpose and resolve to work together in good faith. Dear Lord, comfort the sick and bring hope and relief from fear. We are in this together and we rely on your love that you urge us to give so freely to others. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Drummond.
