Pursuant to adjournment the House was called to order by Speaker                                                                
Edgmon at 10:42 a.m.                                                                                                            
                                                                                                                                
Roll call showed 34 members present.  Representatives Neuman and                                                                
Shaw had been excused from a call of the House today.                                                                           
Representatives Carpenter, Ortiz, Rasmussen, and Tuck were absent.                                                              
                                                                                                                                
The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Representative Tarr.                                                                
Representative Story moved and asked unanimous consent that the                                                                 
invocation be spread on the journal.  There being no objection, it was                                                          
so ordered.                                                                                                                     
                                                                                                                                
    Dear God,                                                                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
    Please give us the strength to face the day and to see the many                                                            
    blessings that it contains.                                                                                                 
                                                                                                                                
     Please give us the courage to walk on, no matter how long the                                                             
    path or how many turns or special sessions the road holds.                                                                  
                                                                                                                                
    Please inspire us to work together for the best interest of                                                                 
    Alaskans always remembering our responsibility to take care                                                                 
    of children, the less fortunate, and those who have cared for                                                               
    us, our seniors and elders.                                                                                                 
                                                                                                                                
       Please guide our thoughts so that we can walk in love and                                                               
    peace and with gratitude in our heart. Amen.
