Full Journal pdf2019-06-08 House Journal Page 1161 HOUSE JOURNAL ALASKA STATE LEGISLATURE THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE FIRST SPECIAL SESSION Juneau, Alaska Saturday June 8, 2019 Twenty-fourth Day Pursuant to adjournment the House was called to order by Speaker Edgmon at 10:30 a.m. The following members were present for the technical session: Representatives Edgmon, Eastman, Johnson, Knopp, Pruitt, Shaw, Sullivan-Leonard, Talerico, Thompson, Tilton, Vance, and Wilson. The presence of Representatives Foster and Kopp was noted later. UNFINISHED BUSINESS HJR 10 The following memorandum dated June 7 was received from Lora Brown, Enrolling Secretary, Division of Legal and Research Services, regarding: CS FOR HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 10(RES) Supporting development of the road belt electrical transmission line; and urging members of the Alaska delegation in Congress to pursue the development of this high-voltage electrical line in the interior of the state. "In accordance with Rule 43, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, I am reporting the following manifest error in CSHJR 10(RES), which has been corrected in enrolling: Page 2, line 31: Delete "Acting"" 2019-06-08 House Journal Page 1162 HJR 12 The following memorandum dated June 7 was received from Lora Brown, Enrolling Secretary, Division of Legal and Research Services, regarding: HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 12 Supporting the completion of the Northern Rail Extension; supporting the increase in defensive capabilities at Fort Greely, Alaska; and encouraging the development of critical Arctic infrastructure. "In accordance with Rule 43, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, I am reporting the following manifest error in HJR 12, which has been corrected in enrolling: Page 3, line 1: Delete "Acting"" ANNOUNCEMENTS With appointment of the Conference Committee on the operating budget, Rule 23(d) of the Uniform Rules is in effect as of May 6. House committee schedules are published under separate cover. ADJOURNMENT Representative Thompson moved and asked unanimous consent that the House adjourn until 2:00 p.m., June 9. There was objection. The question being: "Shall the House adjourn?" The roll was taken with the following result: Adjourn YEAS: 6 NAYS: 6 Yeas: Johnson, Knopp, Shaw, Thompson, Wilson, Edgmon Nays: Eastman, Pruitt, Sullivan-Leonard, Talerico, Tilton, Vance And so, the motion failed. 2019-06-08 House Journal Page 1163 Representative Thompson moved and asked unanimous consent that the House adjourn until 2:00 p.m., June 9.
