Representative Thompson moved and asked unanimous consent that Representative Johnson be excused from a call of the House today. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Major Gina Halverson of The Salvation Army. Representative Shaw moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Creator God, we thank you for another day. We thank you for the heavy rain you blessed us and the sunshine to brighten our days. As we all need water to survive, the rain you send nourishes the abundant and glorious land we call Alaska. The sun allows us to enjoy the beauty of the Alaskan creation we are blessed to be a part of. Thank you for the members present here. I pray your blessings upon them, their families, and the work they perform. We ask for the Holy Spirit to rest on each one of them and grant them the gifts of patience, understanding, wisdom, and hard work. As their positions can create stress, concern, and worry.
