With the deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all Alaskans, I invite you to pray with me: Gracious Lord, thank you for those who came before and whose voices still echo in these chambers as they provided training for the youngest, care for the oldest, and a ferry system to those in hidden villages. Today, Lord, we stand at an edge of a vast chasm. We seek you, we need you, we cry out to you. Your Holy word declares, If anyone lacks wisdom, let them ask of you. Give us wisdom to discern fact from fiction. Give us courage to do 2019-04-01 House Journal Page 0424 that which we know deeply within is the right. Give us strength to serve all people, especially the voiceless. Give us integrity, lest we gain the whole world and lose our own soul. Above all, give us love which can bind us together as one, and enable us to serve young children, tottering elderly, hidden villages, and all the people of this great state. This I humbly ask in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Zulkosky.
