Senator Hughes was absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Gordon Krueger, Senate Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Please take a moment to close your eyes, open your heart, and feel all the love that is coming from your heart. I want you to join me in a special prayer to experience a communion with our creator. Focus your attention on your lungs, as if only your lungs existed. Feel the pleasure when your lungs expand to fulfill the biggest need of the human body: to breathe. Notice the connection between the air and the lungs, a connection that we often forget about. Expand your lungs with air until your body has the need to expel that air. Then exhale and feel pleasure again. When we fulfill any need of the human body, it gives us pleasure. To breathe gives us pleasure. Just to breathe is enough for us to always be happy, to enjoy the miracle of life. Just to be alive is enough, feel the pleasure of being alive. Creator, I ask that you be with all our legislators in these final days of session. Guide them to a conclusion that enables our state to grow and become more prosperous. Today, Creator, we give you all our gratitude and love because you have given us life. Amen. 2018-04-24 Senate Journal Page 2830 Senator Wielechowski led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
