Senators Olson, Stedman were excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, The Reverend Leslie Fails, Fairbanks Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. May your service to this state, whose land and people are equally humbling in their diversity, be an endeavor that nourishes your spirit. May the weighty decisions that you make inch us closer and closer to a world in which all people can not only survive, but thrive. It is, after all our birthright. Poverty and suffering are man made, and so we have the power to unmake them. Spirit of Life, ground of our being, be with us as we work to give life the shape of justice. Give us compassion, that we might truly hear one another. May the Alaska we leave for our children be the Alaska that they deserve. Amen. Senator Wielechowski led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. 2018-03-19 Senate Journal Page 2308 Certification Senator Micciche moved and asked unanimous consent that the journals for the sixtieth through sixty-second legislative days be approved as certified by the Secretary.
