(Rumi) Today, I would like to pray for all those suffering from addiction throughout the world. This epidemic is causing suffering for so many people, especially in our beloved state. Creator, shine the light of consciousness into their life and guide them from the darkness, so that they may heal from within. I ask that you grant me compassion, so I can better understand their suffering and help them heal. Lord, grant our legislators the wisdom and understanding to help heal our communities from this deadly disease. Bring peace to all those suffering from addiction, all those brought to their knees, and give them the strength to rise and feel your love once again. Addiction has affected many of us 2018-03-01 Senate Journal Page 2154 standing here today, so I ask that you help heal the families of all those touched by this disease.
