Senator Gardner was excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Begich, Dunleavy, Meyer, Wielechowski, Wilson were absent. Senator Micciche moved and asked unanimous consent Senators Begich, Dunleavy, Meyer, Wielechowski, Wilson be excused from a call of the Senate today. Without objection, Senators Begich, Dunleavy, Meyer, Wielechowski, Wilson were excused. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator MacKinnon. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Heavenly Father, Creator of all, thank you for this glorious day. Thank you for the people that we serve with, and the people that we represent. Father, help us to find truth in these difficult times. Father, help our families to endure the long hours, the energy, the discontent, the sometime harsh remarks from others. Father, I lift our families up to you for your protection, for your healing light. Father, help us to face this day together, arm in arm, hand in hand, looking out for all Alaskans. Father, help those that are away from our country right now, in defense and protection of others' freedoms. Lord, these things I place at your feet, in your presence, that your will be done. Without objection, it was so ordered.
