Senators Dunleavy, Stedman, Wilson were absent. Senator Micciche moved and asked unanimous consent Senator Dunleavy be excused from a call of the Senate from May 1 through evening plane time, May 2. Without objection, Senator Dunleavy was excused. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Jacob Almeida, Senate Page. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Dear God, I come to you today in thanks for being able to spend another day on your magnificent earth, and all the blessings that come with it. I ask that you watch over our legislators and bless them with wisdom and peace of mind as they start this next busy week in this legislature. I also ask you look over all Alaskans and help unify all of us together as we try and solve our problems and keep Alaska prosperous. I also pray you watch over all of those in third world countries today lord as each and every day is a new struggle for them lord and I ask that you meet their needs so we all can live on to equal standards and privileges someday. Finally, I ask you look over our brave men and women overseas that 2017-05-01 Senate Journal Page 1096 are protecting us away from their friends and family, so we can be with ours, continuing to do what we do Lord.
