Senator Gardner was excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Jacob Almeida, Senate Page. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Dear heavenly father, I come to you today in thanks for another great day spent on your earth lord. With the recent celebration of resurrection day comes a new hope, a resurgence of faith for all of us remembering the bravest and most selfless act of your son for our sins lord. So I come to you today lord asking for a renewal of peace of mind to our legislators, and a burst of confidence and hunger to keep pushing on through this session, and finally to watch over our brave men and women overseas keeping us safe here, and to look over everyone on this earth lord especially those in third world countries for it is during this day and time that those people need you the most lord, in Christ name I pray, Amen.
