Representative Kopp had been excused from a call of the House today. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Stephanie Hall, Assistant Chief Clerk. Representative Westlake moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. With the deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all, I offer the following prayer. Dear Lord, we come before you with praise and thanksgiving. Thank you for another day to serve you. Watch over us in all we do today. Give us strength and energy and a sense of humor to guide us forward. Keep us mindful of the needs of others; comfort and heal those who are sick, in need, or in any kind of trouble.
