Amendment No. 2 to Amendment No. 52 was offered by Representative Eastman: Under Page 37, line 10, following "6,763,700": Insert "It is the intent of the legislature that we quickly move to have legislative housing arranged for by the Legislative Affairs Agency to ensure that legislators are no longer required to procure lodging in Juneau while simultaneously being required by law to maintain a residence in their home district, and thereby reducing the need for excessive per diem for legislators." Representative Eastman moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 2 to Amendment No. 52 be adopted. Representative Tuck objected. Representative Fansler rose to a point of order regarding the debate. Representative LeDoux rose to a point of order. The Speaker cautioned members to confine remarks to the amendment.
