Senators Ellis, Gardner, McGuire were absent. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that Senator McGuire be excused from a call of the Senate today. Without objection, Senator McGuire was excused. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Nancy Campbell, White Fields Church. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Dear Heavenly Father, To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; O my God, I trust in you. To you, O Lord, I lift up the Senate this day. Be here in their midst as they convene. Show them your ways, O Lord, Lead them in your paths for our state.
