The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Nancy Campbell, Gospel Outreach Christian Center. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament (the stretched-out expanse of the sky) shows His handiwork." Psalms 19:1 Dear Heavenly Father, Even as You display Your glory in the Northern Lights seen in our skies; I pray that your glory will be seen here in this Senate Chamber as well. I pray that Your presence will abide here; Your divine direction and Your wisdom for the Senators as they ponder the decisions to be made for Alaska. May You bless them with good health this day.
