With the deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all Alaskans, I offer the following prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you on behalf of the representatives, and I invoke your blessing upon them this day. Grant them your peace that passes all understanding, Lord. Give them your wisdom to address the issues they face this day. Renew their strength and cause them to mount up with wings as eagles; that they may run and not be weary; that they may see the path that lies ahead for them; light their path, Lord, bring them the encouragement they need to complete their assignments as this session comes to a close. If any are 2016-04-14 House Journal Page 2320 sick, I pray that you, dear Lord, would touch them and bring speedy healing to their body. Lift any weariness off of them and give them an alertness to accomplish the tasks set before them. And now I pray that the Lord bless you and the Lord keep you. The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
