I invite you into a time of introspection and breath. As I pray, I invite you to observe it in the way you choose according to your own beliefs and practices. Loving Spirit, Thank you for gathering us today in the spirit of humility and grace. Thank you for bringing each of us here safely and soundly to converse and discuss important matters. Infuse your love and life into each of these matters and each of our hearts. 2016-03-02 House Journal Page 1722 You move among us so freely, drawing us closer together as one body. Bless this body called the House of Representatives this day and all days, O God. May they channel your blessing in the work they are called to this day. I pray for them as they endure the stressful, long days required of our legislators. I give you thanks for them and pray for their families. Spirit, I pray that you challenge us today. Challenge us tomorrow and the next day and the next. Open our eyes, hearts, ears, and minds so we may hear both the bold and the silenced. All this I pray in your holy name. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Kreiss-Tomkins.
