Representatives Colver, Pruitt, and Seaton were absent and their presence was noted later. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, the Reverend Pat Casey of Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Representative Wilson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Gracious God, we pray for the men and women who are gathered here in this chamber, who represent the people in the State of Alaska Legislature: that they may work together to uphold the dignity of all people, especially the poor and vulnerable.
