Senator Bishop was absent. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that Senator Bishop be excused from a call of the Senate today. Without objection, Senator Bishop was excused. Gracious and loving God, as the Alaska State Senate gathers today I pray that you will help these public servants remember your love for them and that your goodness surrounds them. Grant them robust energy to perform the tasks you set before them. Grant them wisdom to make prudent decisions regarding the complex issues they face. Grant them the grace to listen deeply to one another. And grant them joy in their daily routines so they will see and delight in the everyday blessings you bestow upon them. Oh God, you are the creator of all that is and our great protector.
