The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Melissa Engel of the Juneau Cooperative Youth Ministry. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Loving God, Thank you for the safe arrival of each of these state legislators. May they see blessings throughout their day: in their relationships, in their interactions with their families, friends, and fellow legislators, and in the small, yet significant, moments. I pray for careful discernment as discussions are had and decisions are made about matters that affect the lives of our fellow Alaskans.
