Representatives Drummond, Edgmon, Millett, and Tuck had been excused from a call of the House today. Wilson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Respecting the beliefs of all Alaskans, I offer the following prayer: Almighty Creator, We give thanks for the beauty of this land and we stand vulnerable before its might. We remember the great shaking of the land fifty years ago that destroyed so much and made us all aware of how fragile life is. We pray for our brothers and sisters in Washington as they mourn for lives lost in the mud slide. Make us ever mindful and thankful for the land upon which we depend. Gracious Redeemer, We give thanks for our brokenness and failures. May we be quick to recognize our faults and seek forgiveness in our errors. Restore us to right relationship with you, each other, and the world around us. 2014-03-28 House Journal Page 2074 Living Spirit, Breathe your creative breath into this space and these servants. Bless the work they do and be with their loved ones near and far. In you we pray. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Saddler.
