Pursuant to adjournment the House was called to order by Speaker                                                                
Chenault at 11:02 a.m.                                                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
Roll call showed 39 members present.  There was one vacancy.                                                                    
                                                                                                                                
The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Youth Pastor Melissa                                                                
Engel, Intern, of Cooperative Youth Ministry.  Representative                                                                   
P. Wilson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be                                                              
spread on the journal.  There being no objection, it was so ordered.                                                            
                                                                                                                                
    In deepest respect for the religious beliefs of each person here,                                                           
   I invite you into a time of prayer and reflection.  Let us pray.                                                            
                                                                                                                                
    Creator God, I thank you for the things we often take for                                                                   
    granted:  a roof over our heads, food to eat, and water to                                                                  
    drink.  I thank you, Creator God, also for these people                                                                     
    gathered.  I pray today for your Spirit of love and kindness to                                                             
    be here among the legislators gathered today and in the weeks                                                               
    ahead.  May their decision-making and their discussions be                                                                  
    mindful of one another and of our fellow Alaskans.  I pray for                                                              
    blessings on this gathering and the families of these                                                                       
    individuals.
