As we gather this day to do the work of the great state of Alaska, let us think on the things that make the work we do meaningful and worthy to the state of Alaska. Holy awesome creator God, creator of all that is seen and unseen, all truth and love. Holy and awesome father and mother God, alpha and omega, beginning of our creation, end of our existence, and all of everything in between. Holy awesome and spirited God, present with us, participant in all that has gone before and partaker of all that will come. 2013-03-14 House Journal Page 0516 Guide us in your light and love of our enemies, our friends, our co-workers, our families, to do your work that becomes our work, to do our work that becomes your work. Teach us, holy awesome God, that our lives are intricately entwined in the lives of others, whether we want them to be or not; remind us that we don't always get to pick whose lives are entwined with ours. Give us wisdom to wait for the future and not dwell in the past while our future unfolds and we learn to understand better what has already gone before us. May we realize joy and hope in the everyday with each other and for each other as we work for the common good, the collective better days, the elusive good ole days. Thanksgiving for this day, it is what we can offer now. Thanks for being awesome and holy. Thank you for being God. Thanks, Shalom, Gunalcheesh, Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Isaacson.
