          Living God, we give thanks for these leaders                                                                          
          gathered here today. Thank you for their risk and                                                                     
          willingness to serve the common good.                                                                                 
                                                                                                                                
          Give them egos strong enough to withstand the petty                                                                   
          nastiness of politics, but humble enough to hear
