Give them egos strong enough to withstand the petty nastiness of politics, but humble enough to hear wisdom from the other side. Give them vibrant brains to process the overwhelming information before them into helpful public policy. Give them strong hearts to be brave and open hearts to hear the cry of the poor. We especially pray that you may give all of us lives that yearn for your justice and peace. Amen.
