God, I thank you for the opportunity to come and pray for the leaders of the great state of Alaska. Thank you for providing a beautiful place for these men and women to work. I ask that you give each person personal strength and wisdom. I thank you for the individual gifts and talents of each person here. I pray that you help combine those individual talents so that they can best serve the people of Alaska. I pray that we be reminded that we work best when we focus more on what we have in common and less on our differences. I ask that you help this group of people work with a spirit of mutual respect that is based in our shared concern for the citizens of this state. Help them remain motivated by the common ground of gratitude that we belong to this great nation and that each leader here is privileged to call Alaska home.
